SHBE European Real Estate Circles

The SHBE is an initiative and founded by Thijssen-PR in The Netherlands to promote cross border business development and networking in the real estate industry. On behalf of a board decision of the foundation SHBE, Thijssen PR and her Croatian subsidiary Iktus d.o.o . in Zagreb are in charge of the daily operations and organization of the SHBE Real Estate Circle meetings and gatherings in Europe. These events are organized at least 4 times a year with prominent foreign and local lecturers, mainly in the English language, where those attending can meet, discuss and give comments on different themes related to the real estate industry.

Participants at these meetings come from the fields of architecture, the construction industry, real estate development, government authorities, financial institutions and many other fields. All those interested in exchanging knowledge and promoting international cooperation in the field of real estate development in the widest sense of word are invited to participate in our SHBE gatherings in Europe. To create the best conditions for optimal networking the number of participants during the meetings is limited up to 40 people.

Next SHBE EREC meeting in Düsseldorf, May 26th with a topic of Housing construction in Germany in 2009

Is the standstill in housing construction the result of aging population or the finance providers? Do the developers in Germany dare to enter housing construction? How do we actually serve the customers?

All these questions will be gladly discussed on 26th May during an extra long meeting of the European Real Estate Circle in Düsseldorf.  For this meeting we have invited many experts who will present their standpoint and refer to these questions from their experience.

Frank J.H. Maas, managing director of Wilma Wohnen GmbH Germany, will give short overview how Wilma envisages the developments in German apartment building sector.

Mr. Sascha Becker, Dipl.Kfm. managing director of  R-Quadrat Immobilien GmbH, will give the presentation titled  „Residing is always there, but who is residing?  – Evaluation of German residential real estate market on the example of special real estate fund, High Yield Residential Deutschland‘“

Of course we also invited a project financier, in order to assure us that well planned projects after as before are being financed. Mr. Otto Roppelman from SNS Property Finance will give his overview of this topic during his presentation.

Han Joosten, manager marketing research Bouwfonds Property Development, will enlighten in his impressive presentation the question – what could we learn from other countries in the aspect of customer service (the customer is after all the king, but is it so by us?). The title of his presentation is “What is it then allowed to be?”

The conclusion of this informative course of lecturers to highly actual topics will be made in a panel discussion hosted by Mr. Jan Berghs, Fellow RICS Netherlands and executive director of European Investment Group AG.
